Taxi Ride Home
One of the barriers to staff agreeing to car share is the fear of being left stranded if their lift fails, for example, if their lift giver is unexpectedly required to work late or if a child falls ill. It has been shown that the offer of a Guaranteed Taxi Ride Home, in which the organisation agrees to meet the cost of any taxi fare, can do much to alleviate these fears.
An employer could consider approaching a local taxi firm to establish an account with the company, guaranteeing staff a ride home.
