Jam Busting June
Everyone knows that there are just too many cars on the road, creating traffic jams, parking and safety problems, pollution, and noise. We also risk our health through reduced physical activity. But breaking the habit of car use can be difficult. Jam Busting June is a month long promotion organised by Bath & North East Somerset, Bristol City, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire Council's to encourage the use of sustainable transport options (including car-sharing) during June. Launched in 2005, it's now back for the fifth year running.
ACT Travelwise
ACT Travelwise's mission is to help improve accessibility by more sustainable transport modes, enhance the performance of UK businesses by reducing impact of congestion, reduce traffic pollution and mitigate the personal health consequences of car dependency. ACT Travelwise also offers networking and professional development opportunities to its members.

Transport Association (promote community car-sharing schemes)
The Community Transport Association, or CTA, is the national representative
body of these voluntary sector transport operators covering the whole
of the UK. It is the UK's biggest provider of training and information
on accessible, voluntary and community transport and has been in the forefront
of promoting minibus safety for over 11 years.

Environmental Transport Association
We will never be without cars but we can use them more sensibly as part
of a sustainable transport system for Britain, something we can all be
a part of. This is the vision of the Environmental Transport Association
(ETA).
The European Cyclists Federation
The European Cyclists' Federation (ECF) is pledged to ensure that bicycle
use achieves its fullest potential so as to bring about sustainable mobility
and public well-being. To achieve these aims, the ECF seeks to change
attitudes, policies and budget allocations at the European level.
European Federation for Transport

T&E is a European umbrella for non-governmental organisations working
in the field of transport and the environment, promoting sustainable transport
in Europe; which means an approach to transport that is environmentally

Speeds Initiative
The Slower Speeds Initiative campaigns for lower and better enforced
speed limits, higher profile speed reduction initiatives, development
of speed control technology and changes in the law to allow conviction
of speeding drivers who kill and maim
School-Run.org - An online resource for parents, schools and local authorities to assist in organising the school run.
Sustrans
Sustrans - the sustainable transport charity - works on practical projects
to encourage people to walk, cycle and use public transport in order to
reduce motor traffic and its adverse effects.
Transport
for London
Transport for London (Tf L) is the integrated body responsible for the
capital's transport system. Its role is to implement the Mayor's Transport
Strategy for London and manage the transport services across the capital
for which the Mayor has responsibility.
Campaign for Better Transport
Previously known as Transport2000 the Campaign for Better Transport is the independent national body concerned with sustainable
transport. They seek answers to transport problems and aim to reduce the
environmental and social impact of transport by encouraging less use of
cars and more use of public transport, walking and cycling.

Motorists Forum
The Commission for Integrated Transport (CfIT) was asked by the Deputy
Prime Minister to set up a group in September 1999 to advise on policy
proposals affecting motorists. CfIT subsequently agreed to form The Motorists'
Forum and the Forum was launched formally by the Deputy Prime Minister
on 31 January 2000.
United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP)
The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), established in 1972,
works to encourage sustainable development through sound environmental
practices everywhere. Its activities cover a wide range of issues, from
atmosphere and terrestrial ecosystems, the promotion of environmental
science and information, to an early warning and emergency response capacity
to deal with environmental disasters and emergencies.
